We've been waiting for this since they set the release date, and here it is: the first season of Heroes is available now for preorder! I'm already in for my set, as I'm sure you'd all like to as well. Season 1 finale in two days... can't wait!

An awesome tidbit from a NBC press release on next year's lineup. This, ladies and gentleman, should be fun...

NBC "bulks up" with 30 combined episodes of "Heroes" and "Heroes: Origins," an innovative new spin-off that each week will introduce a new character -- one of whom will be chosen by viewers through the "Heroes" website on NBC.com to become a cast regular the following season.

Tim Kring seems to have changed his agenda for the show slightly. Looks like we'll be keeping most of our favorite stars, at least from what he said recently...

"I thought Heroes was going to have an ever-shifting cast, but the cast hit in such big ways that now the challenge is to figure out how to use them all and still fold in a couple of new people, because I still think that the origin stories are the most fascinating, in some ways."

It also sounds like they might be adding a new female lead next season. Rumor is it might be a shapeshifter!

For those of you riding the bummer train because it is TAX DAY- (I guarantee I'm more bummed than you about it- since i'm still working on my filing for 2001 AND 2004 as well...ugh!) Here is a little pick-me-up to help you get past those I.R.S. blues- I came across an "Unofficial Soundtrack" collection in my surfing/tax prep procrastination. A very nice collection of songs from the first season!
